In a modern society seemingly plagued by heightened negativity, division and austerity, Brooklyn-based Pretty Rox aka Max Pow has made it her mission to bring back light and positivity at a time when we need it most. Above all, she’s an artist who’s bullish on change.
Her latest single, titled ‘Money Go Round’ represents just that, and serves as a deep dive into her love for day trading and crushing the stock market. It’s also a prime example of her innate ability to carve witty bars and wordplay around a single concept. The hip-hop track, production duties courtesy of TrackFam, is brimming with east-coast flair. It’s stripped back and raw, with punchy 808 drums, chord stabs and bumping sub hits.
Thematic bars like “When small caps dry I run to OTC, I love me a penny stock, get me a 10 bagger n i milly rock” run their course throughout, with the entire track celebrating the euphoria of playing the market like a pro.
“I always wanted to be able to put into words and allow others to be able to understand making money in the market in a catchy melodic way. It is my anthem while trading stocks as well as other traders who use it to get pumped at the beginning of the market open.”
Money Go Round premieres July 2nd, 2021 and will be released independently across all major streaming platforms.
